Drugs and Weapons Seized In Weymouth

Police have carried out raids on two properties in Weymouth.

An address in Acacia Close and Mohune Way were targeted this morning.

Three local men have been arrested.

Police say the arrests are linked to an incident in Trenchard Way on the 27th April,where several windows of a car were smashed by men with baseball bats.

Police also searched an address at the trade croft business park.

The men aged 19, 31 and 52 have been detained on suspicion of possession and supply of controlled drugs.

A number of weapons have also been seized including a crossbow.

Inspector Les Fry Neighbourhood Inspector for Weymouth & Portland said "Dorset Police will deal robustly with anyone connected with the supply of controlled drugs. We welcome any information from members of the Community either in relation to controlled drugs or in connection with Crime that will help us to make Weymouth & Portland a safer place
