Soldiers

(Updated 10:09am 11th May 2013)

An old diesel train that's due to arrive in Swanage today will be displaying a special wreath in memory of 3 British soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan.

They were serving with the Royal Regiment of Scotland when a road side bomb caught their armoured vehicle while out on patrol on April 30th. All 3 men were repatriated to the UK on Thursday (9th May).

The Deltic Class train, that's named after the Regiment, is taking part in the Swanage Railway's Diesel Gala this weekend.
