9:42am 13th May 2013
Nurses at Dorset County Hospital have been celebrating International Nurses Day.
Hard working staff were treated to a full vintage tea party at the Damers Restaurant.
Director of nursing Alison Tong told Wessex FM:
"Nurses work so hard and its hugely rewarding, but its is hard physical word and can very emotional."
The tea and cakes were all put together with the help of Dorset's Honeybuns Bakery.
There have been celebrations all week which coincide with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, culminating in the Nurses tea party today.
"I think everyone is enjoying the fact they can have a nice little break, and a piece of cake. Who doesn't enjoy a cup of tea!"
