Thousands Of Birds Now Victims Of PIB: Say RSPB

Dead guillemot Chesil Beach A THOMAS

1:09pm 13th May 2013

The RSPB say the number of birds killed or injured by the pollutant PIB - could soon be in the tens of thousands:
Alistair Taylor from the charity says they're calling on the European Union to ban the chemical from being discharged at sea.
Dorset MEP Graham Watson is backing the calls.
3 thousand birds have been washed up from Dorset to Cornwall covered in the chemical PIB, so far this year...but it's thought the problem could be much worse.
The Maritime and Coastguard agency say they're getting closer to finding out where it's been coming from.
