Plans to Improve Safety at Wareham Crossing
4:35pm 14th May 2013
What do you think about plans for a footbridge to replace the level crossing at Wareham?
Network Rail and South West Trains Alliance want to do just that to improve safety.
The bridge would go up between Sandford Lane and Sandford Road.
A spokesman for the Network Rail and South West Trains Alliance said: "The surest way to improve safety at a level crossing is to close it. A bridge in this location would allow us to remove a crossing which has a history of misuse and near misses.
"This is an opportunity for crossing users and residents to provide feedback on our proposals. Comments from these sessions, and the two previous public events held to discuss the bridge, will help shape the final design which will then be submitted as part of a formal planning application."
You can tell them what you think this afternoon at the Town Hall in Wareham from 2pm - 8pm.
