(Updated 3:50pm 21st May 2013)

2 men have forced a woman down an alleyway before robbing her in Weymouth.

Details of the incident, that happened the weekend before last, have only just been released by Dorset Police.

The 33 year old was walking along Dorchester Road toward Tesco Express at around 10pm on the Sunday (12th May) when it happened.

A white male, described as about 5 foot 6 and of stocky build, approached the woman and demanded she hand over her bank card and pin number.

He then forced her down an alleyway where another man on a bike approached. He's described as a little taller with missing teeth and sunken facial features.

The men took her card and instructed the woman to withdraw cash.

Detective Constable Pete Gray, of Weymouth CID, said: "This was a very distressing incident for the victim.

"I urge anyone who witnessed this crime, saw people matching these descriptions or has any information about those responsible to contact Dorset Police."

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.
