Insects Dying Out in Dorset Woodland

Charlotte Cobb - Mystic walk in the Woods

8:54am 22nd May 2013

Several species of plant and wildlife in Dorset have become extinct.

That's what the findings of a ground breaking survey launched by Sir David Attenborough have revealed.

The Dorset Wildlife Trust say two types of butterfly have now been lost from Dorset woodland.

The survey also shows the large garden bumble bee has disappeared and there are only 20 pairs of tree sparrows remaining in the county.
