Gypsy Life Comes To Dorchester
8:52am 28th May 2013
We're being invited to discover more about the lives of Gypsy Roma and Travelling people this Friday. (31st May)
Dorchester's Borough Gardens are hosting an event.
Two gypsy caravans will be on display for us to have a look around, you can also try your hand at traditional skills like willow weaving and peg making.
The event is part of Gypsy Roma Traveller history month organised by the South West Dorset Multicultural Network to highlight what's the largest ethnic minority community in the European Union.
The South West Dorset Multicultural Network who are putting on the event say this ethnic group are also the most marginalised and continue to suffer extreme levels of prejudice and discrimination.
