Hospital Staff Tackle Patient Isolation
7:41am 30th May 2013
Cleaners and porters at Dorset County Hospital have been coming up with ideas on how to make patients feel less isolated.
Their opinions were sought using a secure social media style website.
Patients put into quieter side rooms at Dorset County Hospital to aid with their recovery complained of feeling cut off.
The website allowed all types of front line staff to suggest anonymously how this could be improved.
That way all ideas were treated equally.
Some of the suggestions taken on board include delivering free newspapers to the rooms and decorating them with more imaginative colour schemes.
