£120,000 To be Spent On New Parking Signs For Dorchester

Car Park Dorchester

10:27am 31st May 2013

£120,000 is being spent on new parking signs in Dorchester.

The electric counters are being put up at the entrances to council car parks in the town to tell us how many spaces are available.

The aim of the scheme is to help drivers avoid a car park that is full and also help to:

- reduce queuing traffic
- reduce congestion associated with queues interfering with normal traffic flows
- reduce pollution

The car parks getting the signs are:

Top O Town
Acland Road
Woolaston Fields
Old Market
Trinity Street
Fairfield (market)
Durngate Street
