Our very own Dorset County Hospital can now boast two national award-winning student midwives.
Emma Knott and Jo Mockler have received recognition for providing quality support to families who've lost a baby.
They've been given the Student Midwife of the Year award from the British Journal of Midwifery Awards in London.
Head of Midwifery at the hospital, Jo Hartley, told Wessex FM, "Emma and Jo won because of the extraordinary commitment they have made to the bereaved families who use our service, raising thousands of pounds to improve facilities for them."
Emma and Jo have also been asked to join the editorial team of the British Journal of Midwifery, writing a blog every other month for publication.
At a ceremony next month Emma will receive another award, the Bournemouth University School of Health and Social Care Midwifery Student Award.
