E-Zec Wins NHS Transport Contract

8:54am 12th June 2013

E-Zec has won the contract to provide a non-emergency patient transport service for people in Dorset.

50 organisations applied to NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group.

Jane Pike is Director of Service Delivery with NHS Dorset CCG. She said "We are pleased to announce that E-zec will be providing patient transport services for local people from October, and are confident that the new provider will be able to continue to deliver a reliable and flexible service which demonstrates improvements on the existing services whilst also delivering value for money for the tax payer.

Over the coming weeks, information on the new service will be sent to health professionals across the county which will enable them to discuss the new arrangements with their patients".

Commenting on the contract award E-zec's Managing Director Paul Swann said "E-zec are delighted to have been chosen to provide patient transport to the people of Dorset. We are a specialist in this area and operate a number of NHS contracts. We will be applying our expertise and best practice solutions, developed over 15 years, to improve the patient experience for local people".
