Police Drug Blitz In Weymouth

16 arrests have been made following 39 drugs related searches in 8 days by police in Weymouth.
The haul's included 1.7 kilos of cannabis, what's believed to be 70 grams of heroin, two and a half thousand pounds cash and 800 pounds worth of stolen property.
In a statement, Weymouth and Portland Inspector Les Fry said ,on Thursday 13th June a 43 Year old Liverpool male caught the 4pm train from Manchester to Weymouth. By 20:30 pm that same day he was in the Police cells with a 37 year old Weymouth man both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs. Officers seized 18ox of herbal cannabis and 2.4 grams of what is thought to be heroin from the pair during a search.

We will continue to target all those involved in the supply of controlled drugs. There is a direct link between crime and the use and supply of controlled drugs and we will do all that we can to prevent people becoming the victim of crime.
