1:03pm 13th November 2013
Dorchester Town Football Club has appointed a new Commercial Director.
Richard Coole is taking up the post and has held senior director roles at Mercia Group and Hanson Trust.
Richard's main challenge will be to increase revenue streams and part of his plans involve opening the club's facilities 5 days a week.
Richard said, "I am delighted to be joining Dorchester Town Football Club. I have been following the club since moving to the area six-and-a-half years ago and I look forward to getting involved."
"Given the ongoing economic climate, the job will not be an easy one, but I am confident that with the set-up, business model and facilities we have here, we can increase revenue streams in line with the clubs aspirations to become a community club."
"We already have a number of plans in place to open the club up five days a week, maximising the fantastic facilities we have here and creating a permanent social side to the club. Certainly, fans can expect to see a number of exciting events added to the calendar over the coming months."
Club chairman, Neal Butterworth said: "We are ever so pleased to have some one of Richard's pedigree on the club board and heading up the club's commercial activity. His experience and knowledge will be a great asset and we're confident that we can really begin to move forwards in this department, not only for the club's benefit, but to the benefit of our sponsors and partners too."
