Weymouth Rugby Stars Land New Role

Rugby

7:16am 24th December 2013

Four young rugby stars from Weymouth have been selected as the country's first group of Young Rugby Ambassadors.

They have been chosen as part of the Rugby Football Union's initiative to excite and engage young people ahead of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Robert and Charlie have been involved in the sport since the age of 8, with Charlotte and Crystal joining more recently. They all however play at a high level and are well deserved ambassadors for the sport.

Aged between sixteen and twenty, groups of youngsters have been chosen by the RFU from rugby clubs across England and have attended a conference in Exeter ahead of the scheme's launch.
