The Weymouth and Portland Volleyball Beach Classic returns to Weymouth's golden sands this August.
The RAF have donated £10,000 to help support the event.
The year's championship will attract top men's and women's teams from across the country - with a number of major class overseas players.
Cllr Michael Goodman, Weymouth & Portland Borough Council Management Committee Chairman said: "The 2013 Weymouth & Portland Volleyball Classic is just one of the great events in the bumper packed events programme that the borough hosts during the year.
"This is a great sporting event and fun for all the family so I encourage everyone to come along to watch the teams compete.
"I would also like to thank the RAF for their fantastic support and generous donation for this event."
Squadron Leader Trevor Kirkin, the RAF's Senior Careers Liaison Officer for the South West said: "We are delighted to have the opportunity to be involved in the highly successful beach volleyball classic event. It is a well-established tournament which provides a wonderful experience and an inspiration for all those involved. The beach classic helps develop many of the skills and qualities which the RAF values highly, such as teamwork, determination, fitness and effective communication. It is our privilege to be involved with this event and, on behalf of RAF Recruiting and Selection, I wish every competitor the very best of luck."
Graeme Sawyer, who represents Tournament Directors, said: "Working with the RAF team over the years has been a great privilege. It has given the championship a real boost and helped the event to maintain its position as Britain's premier beach volleyball event. We look forward to hosting the best championships to date, attracting large crowds and creating a wonderful atmosphere."
