Voters To Decide In Inverclyde By-Election

Voters are going to the polls in the Inverclyde by-election, with Labour defending a majority of more than 14,000.
This is the fifth by-election of the 2010 Parliament and has been triggered by the death of former Scotland Office minister David Cairns.
Labour's candidate is Ian McKenzie, leader of Inverclyde Council, while former MSP Anne McLaughlin is standing for the SNP.
Unemployment has dominated the election campaign - there are 31 people on Jobseeker's Allowance in the constituency for every one Job Centre vacancy.
Turnout in Inverclyde at the 2010 General Election was 63.48%.
