Every morning, I take every opportunity to look at things from a slightly obscure angle, whether it's playing Russian roulette with the Wessex FM tea caddy (Earl Grey or normal?) or the latest news on Button, (the Herbert household Guinea pig).

I started life in local radio at the age of ten, presenting a Sunday afternoon children’s show. I managed to get away with it for a year, I couldn't have been that good though - it took me seventeen years to then get the gig at Wessex FM! In between that I did everything from selling shoes to being a bus driver. But I would always forget my route and end up taking people to their front doors!

When I'm not at work, I resume the life of a happily married man (my wife may well read this). I go to St Mary's C of E Church in Poole. I've discovered that God is nice and He likes me. I have also developed a strangely infantile relationship with my new Mk III Raleigh Chopper. I have bought a horn for it, the mirror and flag are next!
