Wessex FM was invited to the unveiling of two new buses on the X31 service. People who travel between Weymouth and Axminster by bus will now be able to enjoy a more comfortable journey. The two double decker buses will increase the capacity on the route, which has only been served by single deck buses for the past ten years. Since 1998, when the number of journeys was increased to give an hourly service from Monday to Saturday and a two hourly service on Sunday, passenger numbers have grown substantially to over half a million a year.
