For the 5th year Wessex FM are proud to be partners with the Weymouth Wildcats Speedway Team.

This season the team are going for silverware,with a new squad.

Speedway is such an exciting sport and thrilling to watch! The home of The Weymouth Wildcats is The

Wessex FM Raceway in Weymouth, take the kids along and support the Weymouth Wildcats!

The essential facts about Speedway bikes:

* Speedway bikes are powered by 500cc single cylinder engines

* They use fixed gears

* They have acceleration to match Formula 1 race cars

* They have NO brakes and virtually NO suspension!

* It takes a very special sort of bravery to broadside them around such a narrow track.

TRACK STAFF REQUIRED

Wildcats require help on race days, all applicants must be 18 years of age or over, full training will be given for the following vacancies; 2 rakers, 2 kickboard cleaners, 1 Pusher and 3 stewards.
