Many of the portraits are of people closely connected with Bridport and the surrounding area. These include Howard Barker, author of the Bridport Community Play “The Poor Man’s Friend”, famous satirical novelist Tom Sharpe who lived for some years in Bridport, John Fowles of Lyme Regis, Harold Pinter who has been a relatively frequent visitor to the area, David Edgar, author of two Dorchester Community Plays and Ann Jellicoe, playwright and theatre Director. The exhibition can be seen Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10am to 4pm, until 29 November.
