Be Safe Be Seen

With darker mornings and evenings coming soon, we've given away thousands of free reflective stickers to give away to schools and clubs in Dorset, thanks to IJ Brown Opticians!

They look really cool on kids' bags, coats, and bikes, and well as keeping them safe in the dark.

Thanks for all the requests for stickers, and apologies if you missed out on them.

Tips for staying safe in the dark this winter

  • Wear something reflective - just like our free stickers on your coat or bag!
  • Stay on well lit routes where possible
  • Only cross the road at a proper crossing, such as traffic lights or zebra crossing
  • Take a torch
  • Make sure your bicycle lights and reflectors are working and clean
  • Take the route you know, that your parents and teachers expect you to take
  • Walk with friends or brothers or sisters where possible
  • Don't run, especially where it's icy
  • Stay away from the kerb
