We're keeping local kids safe and seen as the nights draw in!

It's that time of year again ... to search for the gloves and scarves, and wrap up on the way to school as the nights draw in!

As it gets darker in the mornings and evenings, Wessex FM is giving out FREE reflective stickers to schools.

They look really cool on school bags, coats, bikes, and scooters!

Local schools can apply for stickers for their pupils by filling in the form below.

There is a limited supply of stickers, so they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis, and strictly limited to local schools only.

Tips for staying safe in the dark this winter

  • Wear something reflective - just like our free stickers on your coat or bag!
  • Stay on well lit routes where possible
  • Only cross the road at a proper crossing, such as traffic lights or zebra crossing
  • Take a torch
  • Make sure your bicycle lights and reflectors are working and clean
  • Take the route you know, that your parents and teachers expect you to take
  • Walk with friends or brothers or sisters where possible
  • Don't run, especially where it's icy
  • Stay away from the kerb
