“Deadly Nightcap” by Francis Durbridge

Murder and mystery abound in this ingenious play with many blind alleys - and three murders. Having killed his brother-in-law, Jack plots to kill his wife with the help of his mistress and make it look like sui-cide, but things don't go to plan and he ends up dead. But how, and by whom? The detective concludes Jack was murdered by a prowler, but there are many possibilities and motives and the truth is elusive. London critics said 'a night to remember for any fan of mystery, murder and edge of your seat suspense'.
