Stepping into Nature (RSPB Radipole Lake) - Wellbeing Walk

The walk is based around RSPB Radipole Lakes in Weymouth. Meet at the RSPB Discovery Centre cafe in Swannery Carpark (DT4 7TZ) and there will be someone ready to meet you.

This is a relaxed, sociable and gentle monthly walk which is open to all, a health walk for healthy body and mind.

We generally walk about a mile in distance, usually around our Radipole reserve in the heart of Weymouth. A great chance to make new friends or get to know your local nature reserve and find some calm in your day.

You may see fabulous wildlife on the walk, but the focus is simply a stroll and chat.

This walk is dementia friendly, and particularly suitable for anyone wishing to lose weight, recovering from illness or wanting to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Every third Thursday of the month, 11am to 12pm.

This event is FREE as it is funded by Stepping into Nature through the Big Lottery Fund.

On: 11am Thu 18th Jan 2018

Artsreach - Forest Forge & Bumblefly - The Frog Prince

Portesham Village Hall

Prices: £8 for adult, £6 for under 18s & £25 for the family.
01305 871035

Everyone wants to live in a castle; to eat fine food, sleep in the softest, comfortablest bed, even a talking frog; but the spoilt princess really doesn’t want to share. She can’t see that ugliness may only be skin deep!

Forest Forge and Bumblefly Theatre team up again to bring you this classic story for the festive season. Filled with madcap humour and a sprinkling of magic, the team that brought you The Elves and The Shoemaker and Hansel and Gretel will serve up a large portion of family fun and brilliant storytelling.

What castle would be complete without a long haired maiden in a tower and a prince chopping through brambles to get inside? Many characters from familiar fairy tales, plus a couple of lesser known gems, keep the action moving, whilst memorable songs will have you singing all the way home! Touring Dorset with Artsreach, the counties touring arts charity.
