Brewery Square - Live music, dancing and street food at Brewery Square

Brewery Square, Weymouth Avenue, Dorchester, DT1 1QR

Street Food Markets return to Brewery Square in Dorchester next Saturday, July 29, 10am until 5pm bringing a host of culinary treats.

Traders confirmed for the one-day event include Rustic Burger and Shrub Kitchen, as well as returning traders and favourites Dorset Pizza Kitchen, Heavenly Sausage and Vudu Food. Other traders will be serving ice cream, snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Live music takes place between 12pm and 3pm, with family entertainment for everyone throughout the day. Performances include Jack Daniels, Mill Street Jazz Band and Dorchester Ballet and Dance.

Milton Abbas Street Fair 2017 - Milton Abbas 18th Century Street Fair

Many villagers, stall holders and visitors dress in 18th Century costume.
Event being officially opened by Katie Adie at 12 noon.
Free continuous music & dance Entertainment Programme throughout the day at five different venues, featuring 30 varied groups and individuals . Over 130 Stalls and demonstrations and farmers market. Plenty of children's entertainment including Jamie Jigsaw Show and Circus Skills workshop.

Nothe Fort Events - Mediaeval Encampment Weekend

Mediaeval Encampment Weekend
The Medieval Combat Society will be erecting their tents around the parade ground of the Nothe Fort Weymouth showing various crafts of the period including weaving, candle making and potage cookery. There will be Knights in armour battling each other on foot in spectacular combat clad in plate and chain mail with a variety of weapons, attended by squires and servants and watched by the King’s court and their children, from the period of Edward III. There will also be archery and medieval dancing. The group have performed all over the country including Windsor Castle and many English Heritage and National Trust properties. This promises to be a fantastic weekend not to be missed. The FORT VIEW café will be open throughout the day. Disabled access to those with restricted mobility is available to most of the fort. DOGS are welcome providing they are kept on a lead and supervised at all times. PARKING - Council operated car parks in the Nothe Gardens.

The Ancient Technology Centre - Dark Ages Open Weekend

Once again 'The Vikings' will be invading The Ancient Technology Centre for our Dark-Ages weekend... join us on the 29th and 30th of July to explore your Dark-Age roots. Interact with the Vikings in their camp; have a go at traditional crafts, try on their armour... and maybe take part in a battle or two! Watch Albion Historical Falconry as they demonstrate traditional falconry techniques with their wonderful Birds of Prey, and browse stalls selling authentic historical gifts. Complete your experience with a Viking feast, cooked up by Pario Gallico, or sample the rustic delicacies of Dorset Charcuterie... but remember to save room for home-made cake from our Volunteer Cafe!

Sea Watch Foundation - National Whale and Dolphin Watch

Your chance to join in with a nationwide wildlife survey of whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans).
The data from these surveys will help raise awareness and contribute to the conservation of the marine environment.

From the 29th of July to the 10th of September the picturesque riverside gallery at Walford Mill Crafts will showcase exceptional and innovative British craftsmanship.

Discover handpicked makers working across an extensive range of disciplines including translucent porcelain lighting by Amy Cooper, glass rock-pools by Stephen Foster, tide marked textiles by Alice Fox, coastal inspired jewellery by Cara Tonkin as well as metal landscapes by Lisa Wisdom.

‘By the Sea’ will be a celebration of design for all who enjoy contemporary craft.

It's nearly time for the WARM FESTIVAL organised by the Steve Charles Help a Friend Fund.

A local charity from Dorchester who help people in the west Dorset, weymouth and portland area with financial difficulties resulting from medical problems.

There is live music, food stalls, bar and raffle. So Bring along friends and family and relax on the lovely lawns in borough gardens listening to the bands below

This is all in aid of charity to help us support people who need our help

We are looking for bands/local musicians to perform if you or someone you know would be interested please get in touch
