The Dorset Knob Throwing and Food Festival

Kingston Maurward College, Dorchester, Dorset, DT2 8PY

The Festival runs from 10am until 4.00pm. Admission Prices £5 per adult under 12’s free.
Besides Knob Throwing there will be additional fun knob attractions including Knob Eating, Knob Painting, a Knob & Spoon Race, Guess the weight of the Big Knob, Knob Darts and a Knob Pyramid. and other more traditional entertainment will be laid on to make this a really enjoyable day out with a difference.
The Frome Valley Food Fest will run along side the Knob Throwing. There will be a the opportunity to sample, taste and purchase a fine range of foods including breads, cheeses, ciders, meats game & poultry, pies, preserves, and puddings in addition to chocolate, coffee and wine supplied by well respected local businesses.
The aim of the festival is to raise much needed funds for Cattistock Cricket Club, Maiden Newton & Cattistock Football Club, Savill Hall and the Community Playspace and other local organisations and services.

Coastwatch, Portland Bill - Garden Open Day

Highwood Gardens, Charborough Park, Nr Wareham

The Team at Coastwatch, Portland Bill will be hosting a Charity Day at Highwood Gardens, Charborough Park, as guests of Richard Drax.

There will be a Tea Stall, BBQ, various stalls, including crafts, books and plants. This is a chance to enjoy a stroll in the bluebell woods and relax in the tranquil setting, spot the deer and enjoy a cream tea. The Durnovaria Silver Band will be performing between 2:30 to 3:15, and 3:45 to 4:30pm.

It's also a chance to meet the Team of highly trained volunteers who man the Lookout at Portland Bill for 12 hours a day for 364 days a year, ensuring the safety of everyone who uses the land and water around Portland Bill.

The Blandford Georgian Fayre is an enabling, charity that asks the public to donate voluntarily on admission to the town. Money raised is ploughed back into community groups within the Blandford area.

Funds raised by the Fayre have directly benefited Blandford and its local community in excess of 1 million pounds over the past 24 years.
