IS YOUR DOG MORE BULLSEYE THAN TOTO?

You may be enjoying TV's ‘Over The Rainbow’ show charting Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s quest for Dorothy and Toto but our very own Patrick Sutton, Chairman of Weymouth Operatic Society, has cast Bill Sykes in their up and coming production of ‘Oliver!’ but is minus his tough sidekick Bullseye.

Rehearsals are well underway for the much loved musical but now the hunt is on for the perfect dog to play one of the most famous bull terriers of all time.   Sykes and his dog Bullseye are the feared villains of the Oliver story and the Society is looking for a very special four legged thespian to take on the role.

Pretty pooches need not apply!  If you own a bull terrier or like breed who looks tough but is really a softie then the Society would love to hear from you. Applicants need to be good with children (and adults!) and be confident and friendly.

If you think your dog fits the bill and could be a star in the making then we would love to see you at the doggy auditions at Hope Church, Brewers Quay on Sunday 16th May at 3pm.  Any queries please telephone WOS secretary Judie on Weymouth 812268 or Patrick on Weymouth 772313.

The popular Dickens story of the boy who asked for more is being told at the Weymouth Pavilion running from the 20th to the 24th July with evening performances and an extra matinee on the Saturday.  Tickets are on sale now priced at £12 each (Saturday matinee £10 all seats), no concessions but group discount available.
