Graduate Training Scheme

We currently have opportunities for dedicated, self-motivated graduates to learn to teach and assess across the curriculum in your subject specialism in a supportive environment, and to gain experience in a variety of roles across the College related to teaching, learning and assessment.

We are looking for top graduates (recently graduated or about to) in the areas of:

  • Agriculture
  • Aquaculture
  • Animal Welfare and Science
  • Equine
  • Marine Biology
  • Rural Studies.

We can offer a teaching qualification and experience of teaching delivery to FE / HE students in your subject specialism, for 2 years.  This opportunity might interest you if you are looking for a different type of experience before you move into industry, if you haven’t yet decided on your first career step, or if you are interested in teaching.  This opportunity may also develop into a full-time teaching role with Kingston Maurward.

Hours - 37 hours per week Monday – Friday with flexibility to meet business needs

Person Specification:

  • Strong degree in subject specialism
  • Experience and confidence in working with a range of livestock / animals
  • Extensive and in-depth knowledge of the (depending on subject specialism) agricultural livestock industry / arable, livestock or machinery / small mammals/ reptiles / equine industry
  • The desire to be an inspiring teacher

Pay - £18,855 per annum which is Point 2A on the Academic Staff Grading Guidelines
