The Role:

This is a bookkeeper and administrative role. You will be managing the bookkeeping and accounts using QuickBooks accounting package with the support from our accountant.

Job role overview includes:

  • Bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts for review.
  • Oversee and prepare supplier payments.
  • To make supplier payments.
  • Prepare and oversee VAT returns.
  • Oversee and review of customer balances.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers.
  • Prepare and enter month end journals for depreciation, prepayments and accruals.
  • Reconcile inter-company balances.
  • Administrative tasks around HRMC and Companies House.
  • Other associated tasks as required.

Required skills:

  • To understand double entry bookkeeping.
  • Excellent Excel and Word skills.
  • To understand profit and loss accounts.
  • To understand balance sheets.
  • To understand a trial balance.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy regarding data entry.
  • Have a reasonable understanding of VAT and what can be claimed or declared on a VAT return.

Hours to be discussed and will be approximately 37.5 hours per week spread across 5 days.

Remuneration:

  • Based on 37.5 hours per week a monthly paid salary circa £19,000 to £24,000 per annum dependant on skill and experience.
  • 28 days annual leave.
