The book Metamorfishes Mutants from Pollutants which has been awarded a Wessex Watermark Award will be launched at the Chesil Beach Centre as part of the Great Dorset Beach Clean event on Saturday 27th April starting at 10am.
John Eames, author and a former teacher of the Woodroffe School Lyme Regis, will be travelling down from Lancashire to receive the award with Dorset illustrator Nicola Dennis and will be reading from the book.
Metamorfishes has been supported by such organisations as Eco-Schools, Project Aware, Conservation Foundation and the Marine Conservation Society.
It will be distributed for free to every secondary school within the Wessex Water region to help students attain their Eco-Schools Green Flag Award and to raise awareness of the continuing problems of marine pollution in a fun and informative way.
Free books will be available to teaching staff on the day.
