About:

The River Cerne contains many interesting invertebrates. As part of their “Riverfly” project, the Dorset Wildlife Trust will teach us how to observe and monitor the health of our river by catching, identifying and counting the variety of invertebrates which live in the river bed. They will provide equipment as well as expertise. Wellies are needed and warm/dry clothing if the weather is cold/wet. Accompanied children only, and the accompanying adults are responsible for the safety of their children.
Meet near the pond in the Barton Farm Water Meadows, Cerne Abbas. Cost for the two hour session will be £3 each.
