Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin are an English folk music duo. In 2017 they renamed themselves Edgelarks and released an eponymous album. Hailing from Lancashire, Henry is a slide guitarist and harmonica player. Over the past decade he has immersed himself in the music of the Deep South of America, traditional music of the British Isles, and Indian classical music. Specialising in lap slides techniques, his Dobro playing draws together these diverse influences. His harmonica style combines country blues and folk styles with beat-boxing to create a 21st-century harmonica sound heavily steeped in tradition.
The promoters percentage from this event will support the re-thatching of the thatched bus shelter in Osmington, which is now grade 2 listed and a War Memorial. It was erected probably shortly after the Second World War, on the south side of the main road. It was built by Harry and Ethel Parry-Jones in memory of their son, David, a lieutenant in the 1st Battalion of The Rifle Brigade who died at the age of 20 on 3 August 1944 during the Battle of Normandy.
It's now in need of some TLC and the re-thatching will cost around £2,000.
