More help is being made available to families in Bridport as a local legal firm is expanding its family mediation services.

Experienced family law specialist Rosalind Blaza is joining Battens Solicitors to help expand their outreach services in the town.

Cherise Luke-Bennett, who is head of mediation at Battens, will be setting up outreach services in Bridport to build on existing support in the Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester areas.

Cherise said: "Recruiting a specialist of Rosalind's calibre has allowed us to further expand our family team.

"Her appointment and our new outreach services mean we can substantially extend our range to help more clients across Dorset."

Rosalind is bringing 16 years of experience to the firm and is an accredited member of the Law Society's family law panel.

She said: "Battens has an excellent reputation for family law and mediation, and I am looking forward to playing my part in the continued growth of the firm's Family Team.

"With recent ground-breaking changes in family mediation funding, there are greater opportunities to help more separating couples resolve their disputes without the cost of going to court."
