A West Bay Holiday Park says bookings have soared since the ITV hit drama Broadchurch has returned to our screens.

Parkdean Holidays says last month saw a 45% increase in booking numbers.

The Holiday Park is just 200 metres from the golden sands of West Bay beach, and steps away from the stunning cliffs along the Jurassic Coast, which has provided the memorable landscape for the series.

John Waterworth, chief executive at Parkdean Holidays, said: "We pride ourselves on the fantastic locations throughout the UK where our Holiday Parks are based.

"Parkdean Holidays has three Holiday Parks in Dorset, all with striking surrounding views. It's great to see people taking advantage of the breathtaking landscapes we have right here in the UK."

The latest figures from visitdorset.com also show Dorset's becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination with a 148% increase in traffic to the website compared to the same period last year.
