A Dorchester recruitment agency has passed a rigorous inspection by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.

Pro Education in High West Street has now been awarded REC Audited Education Status.

It shows they've carried out all the relevant checks when supplying teaching and none teaching staff to schools.

The REC scheme provides successful recruiters with an accreditation that is recognised by teaching unions, local authorities and schools. It enables both schools and temporary teachers to feel confident about the quality of the agencies they deal with.

Commenting on achieving REC Audited Education status Lee Hodgkinson at Pro Education said: "This accreditation from our industry regulator recognises our outstanding commitment to the highest possible standards as set by the REC. It also recognises our ongoing commitment to provide the highest level of support to our teachers as well as an outstanding quality of service to the schools and colleges we work with. All of us at Pro Education are proud to achieved this gold seal of approval."

REC chief executive Kevin Green added: "Congratulations to Pro Education for achieving the gold standard in recruitment. They join an elite group of agencies across the UK who have been recognised for operating the very best practice in education recruitment.

"The aim of our scheme is to give head teachers peace of mind that they are working with an accredited supplier. By earning the right to display the REC Audited Education logo, Pro Education can assure schools, parents and pupils that the staff they supply are recruited properly and have on-going support."
