Damory is continuing its investment in new transport by introducing five brand new buses to its popular Dorset services.

More buses are being laid on to help us get around in Dorchester and Bridport.

Damory have invested £500,000 into a new fleet.

We named bus services as one of our top five priorities in the Ask Dorset survey.

Operations Manager for Damory Adam Keen told Wessex FM about their latest additions.

He said: "We've taken five brand new buses. They're british built in Leeds and they're the very latest in economy and emissions status."

"They're exculsively for West Dorset too."

The new Solo buses - manufactured by Optare - are operating across Damory's 1,2,101 Dorchester, R71 Lyme Regis and R40 Bridport routes.

They are the first to feature lighter floor colours, after Damory teamed up with Alzheimer's Society to make its buses dementia friendly.
Cllr Peter Finney, Dorset County Council's Cabinet member for environment, said: "I am delighted that Damory buses have invested in their fleet, benefitting the people of Dorchester.
"I am also pleased that they have been able to accommodate the wishes of dementia groups to help people with dementia issues."
