The National Trust is looking for someone to run a 16th century pub in Dorset.

The Bankes Arms in Corfe Castle has been operating as a pub for 350 years and has had 15 licensees during that time.

The Trust are offering up a new free of tie lease.

The pub also includes 10 letting rooms and owner's accommodation.

Kevin Conibear, who is handling the letting on behalf of the National Trust states:  "The Bankes Arms is overlooked by Corfe Castle, a lasting reminder of the brutality of the Civil War.  Customers now can enjoy the tranquillity of the setting, enjoying the Castle and countryside views, only disturbed by passing steam trains. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced operator to take a new FOT lease benefiting from food, drink and accommodation income streams in one of the most historic and picturesque locations in the UK."
