Weymouth BID are moving their Annual General Meeting to January 2016.

Weymouth BID are moving their Annual General Meeting to January 2016.

Its board say it's a better time to hold the meeting than November when businesses are focusing on Christmas.

Steve Newstead Chair of the Board said "This is an important time over Christmas and with the ambitious plans to create a bigger event throughout December it was felt the focus of the BID team should be to deliver the event and focus on the AGM in January when traditionally it is a quieter period and will also provide the opportunity to reflect on the BIG Christmas promotion."

In addition the BID will be running a number of open and 1-2-1 meetings, prior to the January AGM, in addition to a survey, that will allow businesses their say on the BID, how it is performing and feedback on its activities.

Nigel Reed BID Manager said "The purpose of an AGM is to present the activities of the BID over the past year and to show the plans for 2016. The 1-2-1 and open meetings, with the survey, will help towards this."

He added, "The annual accounts for year two will be available in November 2015 and on the website for BID members to view and there are still places on the Board for those wishing to join the board."
