A Weymouth hotelier who appeared on Channel 4's - "The Hotel Inspector" has announced a new venture.

The Richmond on The Esplanade was put through its paces by hotel expert Alex Polizzi - with high praise for 'Shellie's Restaurant.'

Owner Loraine Hillier has taken Alex's advice to expand into Weymouth Town Centre and has taken over The Dining Room Restaurant - calling it 'Shellie's at The Dining Room.'

Loraine Hillier, owner of The Richmoor Hotel commented: "We knew Taher was a great chef with innovative ideas and high standards and that the Dining Room would be a great restaurant to take over and build upon the success. Our chef and partner, John McInally has a similar passion and desire to create stunning menus. We are excited to continue and evolve what Taher started."

Shellie's at The Dining Room will continue the popular Supper Clubs that The Dining Room were famous for, as well as the great steak deals that Shellie's Restaurant at The Richmoor is renowned for. The team at The Richmoor is delighted to offer two incredible private function rooms at both Shellie's at The Dining Room and The Richmoor Hotel, two unique locations for birthdays, wedding receptions and corporate events.

John McInally, head chef of The Richmoor Hotel commented: "I am so excited to be in the town centre and creating delicious new culinary delights. It is such an exciting time for all the team and to take over a restaurant with a great reputation really gives us a great advantage.  We are keen to put our own stamp on Shellie's at The Dining Room and you can expect local ingredients, expertly cooked, with fantastic service."
