Major Agri-tech conference to be held in Dorset

Government and industry leaders will be in Dorset on Friday for a major conference on game technology in agriculture.

Government and industry leaders will be in Dorset on Friday for a major conference on game technology in agriculture.

Its being held at Kingston Maurward College who've recently opened a £900,000 Agri-tech facility thanks to funding from LEP.

Delegates will include academics, farmers and research scientists.

They'll hear from Government and industry leaders who'll talk about the potential benefits which agri-tech can bring to Dorset.

A 'market place' during the day will allow agriculture related businesses and bodies to showcase their wares. Workshops will discuss current challenges in agriculture and prioritise possible solutions with the networking of solutions from other sectors.

Head teachers of local schools will be able to see for themselves the variety of skills and calibre of youngsters that are required to assist this industry to realise the potential. This is a high level conference with the Department for International Trade, suppliers to agriculture, researchers, farmers and educationalists present.
