What Do You get Up To In Your Free Time?

Bike Ride

We're being asked to come forward with stories about what we do for fun for a new archive about how leisure times have changed since 1945.

The project is being run by Joe Stevens, he's told Wessex FM : "What we are hearing is that life today is not that different from times past." He added: "We are hoping to capture a range of stories from 1945, right up to the present day".

The new archive will be kept at the Dorset History Centre for future generations to study.

Volunteers have already been out capturing young people's memories at Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester.

Helpers are now working in Bridport, Dorchester, Weymouth & Portland and Sherborne.

If you want more information on the project or wish to add your story to the archive please call Joe Stevens on 07784 874112 or email joe@freetimeourstories.org.uk.
