Police are appealing for witnesses after a man has died following a car crash in Lyme Regis.

Three vehicles collided on the 7th of June on the westbound carriage of the A35, near the junction with the B3165 at Raymonds Hill.

Dorset Police attended along with officers from Devon and Cornwall.

The other two drivers were treated for minor injuries at the scene, but a 60 year old man from Devon passed away yesterday (19th June) in hospital.

Sergeant Jonathan Wren, of Dorset Police Traffic Department, told Wessex FM, "This road traffic collision involved three vehicles, a silver Mercedes E220, a blue Jaguar X-Type and a red Ford Mondeo. Tragically, one of the drivers involved in the collision died twelve days later in Hospital."

He added, "I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or may have information about the manner of driving of the vehicles involved prior to the collision, to contact Dorset Police in confident on 101."

No arrests have been made.
