Dorset College Launches New Caravan Park Training Course!

Kingston Maurward College Students

11:49am 8th July 2013

We live in an area full of holiday parks, and now Kingston Mauward College are asking if you want to take a course based around caravans!!

Recruitment's open for a new foundation degree in Tourism Park Management that's especially focused on the caravan parks industry.

It's a part-time qualification which runs over three and a half years.

Jenny Pritchard, Head of CITO, the company responsible for the industry's training, said, "The parks industry today is diverse and highly professional, values talent and individuality, and has a passion for what it does. Students in Dorset who aren't currently working in the industry can be assisted in finding a work placement to get first-hand knowledge to back up their studies, and the flexible study pattern avoiding park busy periods would enable part time employment alongside study."

She continued, "To date, students have been already working in the industry, but it also provides an opportunity for those from outside the industry to take the first steps towards an exciting future."

Further information on the degree can be found at the CITO website by clicking here.
