Time's Running Out For Weymouth BID Nominations

If you want to be considered for a place on the Weymouth BID management board - you only have until tomorrow (Monday 15th July).
That's when nominations close.
Board Directors will help support the BID to deliver their business plan.
The Management Board will be elected at a special meeting being held on Thursday. (18 July)
Barrie Huett, Chair of the Weymouth BID said " The Weymouth BID has a golden opportunity to help improve the trading environment in Weymouth & Portland over the 5 years of the BID business plan
Any business in the Weymouth BID area whose premises have a rateable value over £6000.now have the opportunity to have their say and contribute to making the Weymouth BID a success by standing as a Director of Weymouth BID Management Board.
Board Directors will help support the BID to deliver the business plan, monitor its progress and performance and to help make strategic decisions to achieve aims and ambitions.
Mr Huett went on to advise that "This role should not be taken lightly as whilst it is a voluntary position those on the board will be expected to actively participate and be able to bring skills and experience that help the BID with the support of its operational team to achieve its goals."
The BID Constitution details the Boards composition. The Board will consist of up to 20 members who when elected, will become Directors of Weymouth BID Ltd. Elections will be held annually for all positions on the Board at the Weymouth BID AGM. The positions on the board have been spread across all the sectors that levy payers represent to ensure a fair mix on the boards make up.
