Forged £10 & £20 Notes Circulating In Swanage.

Forged £ 10 &  £ 20 notes are circulating in Swanage.

Two people have been arrersted and released on police bail accused of offering countefeit £ 10's for payment in several shops on Friday.

Two days later two women in their 20's , who were part of a group with two men and a baby in a bright blue pushchair, tried to pay for goods in Nixons in Station Road with £ 20's which were found to be forged.

One woman's described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, slim, with fair hair worn in a pony tail, wearing denim shorts and a whits vest top. The other woman's description is 5 feet 4 inches tall, stocky with fair curly hair tied back, and was wearing a beige coloured leopard print short jump suit.

Nobody's yet been arrested in connection with the second incident.

Police advice is to be vigilant. They say 'if any are offered for payment , don't confront the offender but do call the police. If any have ben taken for payment please keepm them in a safe place for the police to use in evidence.'
