WW1 Bomb "Hooked" by Fishing Boat in Weymouth
8:11am 29th July 2013
Holiday makers were treated to an impromptu display by Royal Navy Divers in Weymouth over the weekend after a bomb dating back to the Great War was snagged by a fishing boat.
The vessel Cara Lee caught the Vickers Buoy Mine in the bay on Saturday (26th July).
Bomb experts were called and carried out a controlled detenation on the sea bead.
The Mark 3 explosive from the First World War was designed to float on a suspension.
