Funding Opportunity Could Launch New Dorset Projects!
11:56am 5th August 2013
For the first time, charity groups and organisations in Dorset have the chance to gain funding for their cause.
The Dream Fund has extended to our region.
If you're local and working on a project to launch next year or in 2015, you could get your hands on 250 thousand pounds to help create it.
It's the Peoples Postcode Lottery who're behind the Dream Fund Project.
They're keen to hear from applicants who encourage helathy living, social enterprise and environmental sustainability.
In the past the Fund has supported a Coastal Classroom Project and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society.
Kate Pearson, acting Head of Charities for People's Postcode Lottery, said, "The launch of this year's Dream Fund is exciting - it's our biggest yet. Our themes for applicants are encouraging healthy living, social enterprise and environmental sustainability.
"We're encouraging applicants from the South West to think big and be as creative as possible. There are many challenges being faced by the charitable and voluntary sector. That's why we're inviting organisations to work together to apply for a larger pot of funding. We believe £250,000 will really help get innovative projects off the ground and brought to life.
"Since the Dream Fund started it has grown in popularity each year with fantastic quality projects looking for funding. We're always looking for something a bit different."
