Rocks Fall on Boy in Purbeck

A boys needed stitches after being hit on the head by falling rocks at a cove in Purbeck.

The 7 year old was injured while in Chapmans Pool.

He was tended to by Coastwatch Staff before being taken to Swanage Hospital.

Meanwhile, Portland's Coastguard rescue team faced the arduous task of extracting a man OVER rough terrain on the coastal footpath, after he suffered an ankle injury last night (Tuesday 13th August).

The 48 year old walker was treated by paramedics at the scene.
