Dance Classes for Wheelchair Users in Dorset
2:39pm 19th August 2013
Wheelchair users with a passion for dancing are signing-up to a new club launching in South Dorset.
"Wheel Keep Dancing" has been set up specifically for people with disabilities and has been organised by local dance teacher Glenn Bayliss. Glenn has been teaching dance in West Dorset for a number of years and has now qualified to teach wheelchair users.
The new initiative has been set up to introduce wheel chair users to the world of Latin and ballroom dancing.
The Club is hosting a free taster session this Thursday afternoon (22nd August) at Dorchester Sports Centre from 2pm - 3:30pm.
Secretary Angie Golding told Wessex FM all wheelchair users are welcome with or without a partner and the dances aren't too complicated.
"Routines are fairly simple to begin with and you can start at a very basic level and take it as far as you like really. Some groups do it socially and some enter competitions."
