Portlanders Given An Audience With Dorset's Police And Crime Comissioner

Martyn Underhill pcc

9:11am 20th August 2013

Residents living on Portland will have the chance raise any local issues with Dorset's Crime Commissioner tonight (Tuesday 20th August).

PCC Martyn Underhill is hosting one of his monthly forums at the Community 2000 Hall from 5:30pm.

It gives people with an interest in crime and policing an opportunity to speak directly with the man in charge of the force.

Underill says his Forums bridge the gap between the Police and Public:

"My forums are already narrowing the gap between the police and the public as I take public concern straight to the Force and Local Authorities. One recent example is the 101 service where I acted upon public concern and am now holding the Force to account on its performance in that area.

It is important that we all meet in person at my Forums, to identify the key issues in the area and then work together to solve them."

To express interest in becoming a forum member please contact Susan Bickle, Community Engagement Officer on 01202 223743 or email susan.bickle@dorset.pnn.police.uk.
